Position type: Sub - Special Education / Substitute Special Education ParaPro. Location: Special Education. The Branch ISD Special Education Department is accepting applications for Paraprofessional Substitutes. Substitutes perform non-instructional duties and supports the teacher with classroom activities. Applicant must have a desire to assist students with special needs and must maintain student confidentiality. Special Education Programs are located within: Bronson Schools, Coldwater Schools, Quincy Schools, and Waldron Learning Center. Qualifications: 2-years successful experience as a para-professional in a program serving mental and/or physical disabilities preferred. Ability to utilize CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training techniques, which may include utilizing physical restraint to violent, acting-out students. Appropriate social and language skills in working with students and in various job settingsWillingness to obtain chauffeur's license and drive students to and from school-related events Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
