POSITION TITLE: Special Education Paraprofessional DEPARTMENT: Special Education REPORTS TO: Building Principal PAY SCHEDULE: As per Collective Bargaining Agreement EFFECTIVE: Immediate Qualifications: High School Completion. Sixty (60) College Credit Hours or an Associate’s Degree, or have passed the WorkKeys Test (WorkKeys-prior to June 01, 2017). Replacing the WorkKeys Test, candidates qualify with a Passing Score of 480 on the ETS ParaPro Assessment or Michigan Test for Teacher Certification – Basic Skills (MTTC). Some experience working with children. Patience and interest to enhance teaching and learning opportunities for children / students / young adults. Willingness to participate in and attend in-service sessions and / or various trainings, as recommended, to improve self and ability to work with students. Experience or training in working with students with emotional impairments, is valuable. Ability to work in a multicultural setting.
