Job Title: Competitive Cheer Coach Reports To: Building Principal/Athletic Director Location: Southfield A&T Start Date/End Date: November 2026-March 2027 Salary: $1,900.00 Stipend per the SEA CBA (paid at the end of the season based on the payment calendar) Job Summary: The Cheer Coach is responsible for organizing, planning, and leading the cheerleading program. This includes teaching cheers, stunts, and dance routines; promoting school spirit; always ensuring safety; and fostering teamwork, discipline, and leadership among team members. The coach will work closely with the athletic department, school administration, and parents to support athletic events, competitions, and school functions. Key Responsibilities: Plan and conduct practices focused on cheer techniques, stunting, tumbling, and performance. Lead the cheer team in promoting school spirit at games, pep rallies, and special events. Choreograph routines for halftime shows, assemblies, and competitions.
