Position Title: Cheer Assistant Coach Reports To: Building Principal/Athletic Director Location: Southfield A&T High School Start Date/End Date: August 2026-October 2026 (2026-2027 School Year - FALL ATHLETICS) Salary: $1,400.00 Stipend per the SEA CBA (paid at the end of the season based on the payment calendar) Job Summary: The Cheer Assistant Coach is responsible for assisting with organizing, planning, and supporting the cheerleading program. This includes teaching cheers, stunts, and dance routines; promoting school spirit; always ensuring safety; and fostering teamwork, discipline, and leadership among team members. The coach will work closely with the athletic department, school administration, and parents to support athletic events, competitions, and school functions. Key Responsibilities: Plan and conduct practices focused on cheer techniques, stunting, tumbling, and performance.
