JOB DESCRIPTION POSITION: Paraprofessional - One-on-One REPORTS TO: Principal EMPLOYER: Mattawan Consolidated School SUMMARY: A one-on-one paraprofessional provides support to a student who needs modified instruction or direct assistance , as identified in their Individualized Education Program (IEP) and described in their Adult Support Plan. One-on-one paraprofessionals are assigned to a single student throughout the day to support their specific needs. QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) Prior job-related experiences, paid or voluntary, with school-age children RESPONSIBILITIES: Understand and carry out oral and written directions; Follows teacher direction regarding the care, instruction, communication, and support of student; Assist with personal care needs of students (e.g. toileting, hygiene, medical, etc.) Assists students with mobility and access to environment and materials.
