Qualifications Candidates must have earned the following: High School Diploma or Equivalent Associate's Degree or at least 60 semester credit hours from an accredited University Successful Score on ETS Parapro Assessment Roles & Responsibilities Support instructional under the direction of a teacher (small groups; 1:1; classroom support). Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment for all students. Implement accommodations, modifications, and behavior plans as directed. Reinforce academic, social, and communication skills through guided practice and prompting. Collect data on student progress, behavior, and engagement using provided tools. Use de-escalation, crisis-prevention, and positive behavior supports per training and policy. Support students during transitions, recess, arrival/dismissal, and specials as assigned. Assist with preparation of instructional materials and classroom organization, related to the student's IEP accommodations under the direction of the student's special education team.
