Removes unwanted or unhealthy plants, shrubs, and trees, as well as downed limbs. Operates hand tools and power equipment, including mowers, leaf-blowers, snowblowers, tillers, backhoes, and tractors. Provides advice to Director and takes direction from them. Employees hired under this job description will assist in all full-time grounds keeping duties. Outside work during inclement weather may be assigned. MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS: Valid Michigan driver’s license. Pass fingerprint check as required by law. Possess a valid chauffeur’s license. Excellent work record. Ability to use all grounds equipment (trucks, tractors, lawn mowers, weed wackers, chainsaws, etc.). Capable of driving a lift truck. Ability to handle minor repairs to equipment, walls, and ceilings. Ability to load and unload trucks when needed. Ability to work above the ground on ladders, power lifts, and/or roof tops.
