Edison ASD Paraprofessional SPECIFICS Regular school year position The position is 5 days per week, 7:45-3:15 Grade levels K-5 Class 6 on HPPA Salary Schedule QUALIFICATIONS Applicants should have experience, meet all state requirements and rate high in the following areas: • Pass Work Keys, or have 2 years of college • Shall have at least a high school diploma • Good communication skills • Ability to follow an individualized Behavioral Plan, under the teacher/ psychologist direction. • Good attendance record is expected • Certified in the C.P.I. training and the ability to implement all stages of the training, including the restraint portion of Crisis Prevention, OR, willingness to take the training and implement procedures • Work under the direction and supervision of the classroom teacher • Ability to communicate with teachers, pupils, parents, and the public in a professional, friendly manner • Ability and willingness to deal with challenging behaviors under the direction of the teacher with poise and professionalism…
